Help!?? Maths question!! plz? problem solving. geometry???! thx!?
How do you do this? i have tried and i still cant figure it out!
PROBLEM:
A company that produces individual 2 dimensional geometric shapes for the production of the 5 platonic polyhedra has a request from a school to provide enough material to produce 5 hexahedra, 5 tetahedra, 5 octahedra, 6 dodecahedra and 7 isosahedra.
1) How many of each individual shape do they require to prodice the requested number of polyhedra?
please explain how you did it in steps. !! thanks for your help!! 
Hi,
Each hexahedron (cube) is made of 6 squares.
Each tetrahedron is made of 4 triangles.
Each octahedron is made of 8 triangles.
Each dodecahedron is made of 12 pentagons.
Each icosahedron (cube) is made of 20 triangles.
So, 5 hexahedra, 5 tetahedra, 5 octahedra, 6 dodecahedra and 7 isosahedra would need:
5 hexahedra 5 x 6 squares = 30 squares
5 tetahedra 5 x 4 triangles = 20 triangles
5 octahedra 5 x 8 triangles = 40 triangles
6 dodecahedra 6 x 12 pentagons = 72 pentagons
7 isosahedra 7 x 20 triangles = 140 triangles
In total they need 30 squares, 200 triangles, and 72 pentagons. <==ANSWER
